06-01-2018 Things That Really Bore Me!   Leave a comment

In the past I’ve created lists of things I love and things I hate.  After roaming around for the last few months and people watching it occurred to me that another category needed to be documented.  Here is my list of things that have morphed from ‘Things That Annoy Me’ to ‘Things That Bore Me’.

* * *

Drug companies and their endless advertisements to cure damn near everything. In most cases you’d need a small mortgage to pay for them but at least the side effects are free.

Organic labeling normally just pisses me off but I’ve come to realize if people are stupid enough to buy the “organic” song and dance then there’s nothing I can do. To quote one of my favorite comics, Ron White . . .  You can’t fix stupid!

Anyone named Obama or Bush. No further explanation is needed or wanted.

AARP Mailings. I refuse to belong to any organization of liberal leaning seniors that enjoys sucking up to the Dems for more government handouts. You’d think that their current government subsidies would be enough.

Any bumper sticker that insists on telling me things I could care less about. I don’t really care what your children are doing or where they’re doing it. It’s just more eye litter.

SPAM in all it’s forms.

Verizon Wireless and their need to call me ten times a week because I’m now eligible for an upgrade on my cell phone. I’ve already blocked 26 of their numbers but they continue to annoy me from every state in the country.

Hilary Clinton and her endless health problems, her endless mental problems, and of course her endless marital problem, WILD BILL.

Maxine Waters. It’s time for a rubber room and a straight jacket for this wingnut.

The Maine Stream Media in all of it’s manifestations.

George “I Want to be King of the World.” Soros.

Trump Bashing.

Trump Bashers.

Hollywood idiots voicing their opinions about what they think on every topic except their acting, singing, or dancing.

Tipping waiters and waitresses when I’m now doing most of their work. Table computers are fine if I can cut my normal tip in half. All the waitresses do these days is deliver the meal and smile pretty. I think that’s worth no more than a 3 percent tip.

Facebook and Twitter. They should really be on the list of things that annoy me but they bore me as well.

The egocentric morons who frequent most retail stores and are always in line at the register directly in front of me.  Where’s my stun gun when I need it.

Bait and Switch is one of the oldest and most misleading types of advertisement. It seems to have become much more commonplace that ever before.

Men talking to me while we’re standing at a urinal. I guess they don’t fully understand how focused I need to be while peeing. Talking is OK I guess but no peeking please.

Cell phone ringtones. Enough already . . . I don’t give a shit that you got email. Put it on vibrate moron.

Facial tattoos. It’s an instant judgement call when I see a person with them. Idiot, dumb ass, or moron, take your pick.

The new and improved Leggings fad. I admit that in many cases they just make my day but whatever you do don’t go into Walmart. You could be struck blind if you’re lucky.

Baseball caps worn backward. Any idiot that still thinks this is cool should get a free facial tattoo.

Homeless beggars. I hesitate giving money or cans to someone who is supposedly poor and unemployed while he’s wearing a better pair of Nike shoes than I have.

President Trumps continual tweeting. Just ridiculous.

Katy Perry. Sing a song, leave the stage, marry an asshole, cut off your hair, and then tell me what a political moron I must be for not supporting Hilary. God women . . . Get a frigging life.

Sex with lifelike robots. Only two terms comes to mind immediately, “Organ Grinder” and “Ex Wife”. Way too scary for me. Thanks but no thanks. Yikes!!!

08-12-2016 Journal – #/*#! Politics!   Leave a comment

thQQFH5AW8I’ve been doing everything in my power to disassociate myself from politics during this presidential election year.  I’ve been keeping my opinions to myself except for a few comments to my better-half.  If the truth be told, I have little or no use for any political party at this point.  I’ve morphed from being an social moderate, fiscal conservative Independent to an “Anyone But Hillary” Libertarian.  Actually all of those labels are mostly BS anyway but everyone insists that everyone else have a label. If our forefathers could see us now they’d be sad, disappointed, and most certainly ashamed of what we’ve become and are still becoming.

thVZ6V3NYP

With that thought in mind why don’t you sit back and read some of the thoughts of the men who helped create this country. Take those thoughts from our forefathers and match them up to any of the antics of either the Bushes or Clintons.  If your an intelligent and thoughtful American you should be able to figure things out before pulling the lever for Hillary.

  • “A government of laws, and not of men.”  JOHN ADAMS 1774
  • “If the government is in the hands of a few, they will tyrannize the many, if in the hands of the many, they will tyrannize over the few.” ALEXANDER HAMILTON 1787
  • “A wise and frugal Government, which shall restrain men from injuring one another, shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned. This is the sum of good government.” THOMAS JEFFERSON 1801
  • “The aggregate happiness of the society, which is best promoted by the practice of a virtuous policy, is, or ought to be, the end of all government.” GEORGE WASHINGTON 1790

thIEPENR4Z

Do  those statement in anyway describe our current political situation?  That would be a big “HELL NO”.  Lets take a moment to discuss with our forefathers the matter of government corruption.

  • “Sell not virtue to purchase wealth, nor Liberty to purchase power.” BENJAMIN FRANKLIN 1738
  • “Few men have enough virtue to withstand the highest bidder.” GEORGE WASHINGTON 1799
  • “Whenever a man has cast a longing eye on offices, a rottenness begins in his conduct.” THOMAS JEFFERSON 1821
  • “Where the private interests of a member of Congress are concerned in a bill of question, he is to withdraw.” THOMAS JEFFERSON 1801

I think they’ve made my point for me.  I’ll drop in one last quote from the most infamous of all politicians that perfectly describes many of out current representatives, senators, and Big Businesses.

  • “I recognize no moral law in politics. Politics is a game, in which every sort of trick is permissible, and in which the rules are constantly being changed by the players to suit themselves.” ADOLF HITLER  Mein Kampf 1924

I realize that my opinion means very little in the grand scheme of things but here it is anyway. Hillary Clinton is the epitome of what’s wrong with our government. Donald Trump may be brash, loud, and combative but he’s a better choice than anyone else I see.  We’ve had eight years of Liberal nonsense with Obama and Hillary  will be more of the same.  Trump will be a breath of fresh air in the halls of Congress that currently smells a lot like a hot and humid day in an outhouse.

I feel the need today to once again fill your heads with more of my useless information. These factoids were chosen at random and are in no particular order or category.

  • Thomas Jefferson invented the swivel chair.
  • The philosopher Daniel Dennett introduced the Frisbee to Britain.
  • Isaac Newton invented the cat door.
  • The longest length of time from invention to production was for the ballpoint pen at 58 years.  The zipper took only 32 years.
  • Windshield wipers, laser printers, and bullet-proof vests were invented by women.

thHXPEFFC1

I’m amazed at some of the facts I’ve been finding and the longer I look the crazier they seem to get. Lets continue.

  • In India, 127 million people were vaccinated in a single day in 1997.
  • There are nearly as many American Indians in California now as there were in the eighteenth century.
  • By 2007, the cost of a coffin in Bagdad was 50-75 dollars, up from 5-10 before the Iraq war.
  • In Britain, 93% of young people can master a computer game while only 38% can bake a potato.
  • Jack  Bauer, the lead character from the series 24, personally killed 112 people in the first five seasons of the show.

thMRPI0WGA

Re your eyes getting tired? Are you bored yet?  No!  I’ll just keep going until you’re asleep.

  • There are no legal public cinema’s in Saudi Arabia.
  • One in every 3400 Americans  is an Elvis impersonator.
  • There are approximately twenty families with the name Obama in the US, compared with more than 11,000 Clintons and 60,000 Bushes.
  • In the year 1377, 35% of all English men were named John.
  • There are more people named Chang in China than there are people in Germany.

th023HAS2X

That’s just about it for today but I have one more tidbit I especially liked:

“In the urban West, one of every three women has blond hair; only one in 20 is a natural blond.”

Someone has the best job ever. He spends all day checking to see if the rugs match the drapes.

I WANT THAT JOB

I awoke this morning and once again my body is achy and sore. We had such a beautiful day yesterday that I once again over-did the yard work and totally exhausted myself. I should know better by now but the warm weather and sunshine just kind of sweep me away and make me stupid.

Today will be one of my favorite kind of days which means I probably won’t do much of anything. I may run a few errands and work on some design sketches but nothing too serious. It’s going to be warm again which translates to some quality time for me and the cat to lounge around on the deck and listen to music or to just to read a good book (and yes, my cat can read).

I spent some time this morning on the Net trying to keep up with the political situation as it develops but it took no more than just a few minutes for that the bore me to death. I haven’t decided on any specific candidate but I have eliminated a few. I’ve had my fill of the collection of political families who’ve been dominating the scene for far too long. I think the country and the people deserve some fresh faces in the political arena which means no more Bushes and no more Clintons. Let’s just let them fade into history like the Kennedys. Enough is enough.

I’m still on the fence about Trump but I’m leaning his way for a number of reasons. His fresh and sometimes outrageous outlook on the country’s situation agrees with my own on a lot of points. If you read this blog you already know how much I hate political correctness and what it’s done to this nation. We need to break away in a new direction and I think Trump can supply that. Will he be perfect? I seriously doubt it. Will you be better off with Bernie, I think not . . . he an effing socialist. He’s willing to turn this country into a sad imitation of what Europe has become. That would be a very dangerous direction for the country to take . . . even more worrisome than Trump to be sure.

thHYKKB1OJ

I’ll be catching up later on the news of the day from the Net because listening to the television and radio media is not worth my time. They’re more interested in forwarding their political agendas rather than reporting the truth factually. The way in which they’ve been manipulated by the Obama administration is shameful and harmful to the nation. It’s the job of the press to point out inconsistencies in how an administration governs and  to investigate illegalities as they occur. In my opinion one of the worst things that ever happened in this country in recent decades was the purchase of the media by large business corporations. That was the beginning of the end for truth in media and the beginning of using the media by those corporations to forward their political agendas.

This country was established with the media as a watchdog for the citizenry to monitor and report on the politicians both good and bad. That has long since disappeared. When one part of our well oiled democratic machine ceases to work properly the entire machine suffers and eventually ceases to work at all. Welcome to the 21st-century here in America.

thYFPKXNXV
Well, I’m off to the deck with the cat and my Kindle for an hour of relaxation before I begin running my errands. That should be just enough time to get this short discussion about politics out of my head completely and to rebury my head in the proverbial sand.  I can’t continuously think about politics or I would go insane. A good suspicion of politicians, politics, and government  is what is badly needed to keep this country running properly.

I’M DOING MY PART – ARE YOU?

09-11-2015 Journal – Presidential Politics Once Again!   Leave a comment

dirty-politics-2015-591
“I will never forget.” is the extent of my comments for today on all of the 9/11 anniversary coverage. I have no need to write paragraph after paragraph about that day or to show any of the many horrific photographs. “I can’t and won’t ever forget.”

For too many years of my life I’ve wasted time fretting about politics and inept politicians. I’ve allowed myself to become upset and irate about how this country has slowly eroded many of our civil and human rights without a second thought. With the new presidential campaign beginning it’s time for me to bury my head in the sand and go into seclusion from it all.

I see nothing that interests me. It’s more of the same idiocy, the Clinton’s, the Obama’s, and the Bush’s. All we need is for someone to throw in a couple of Kennedy’s and we’ll finally have completed our time travel back to the 1960’s.

5df80d5567e7c49661ef30ed3d8317c3

I’m one of the many citizens who’ve lost faith in our politicians as well as the American voting public. Any group of people, large or small, who are gullible enough to vote for an obvious anti-American to a second term as president deserve exactly what they get. This country has been in decline since the arrival of the Obama’s who’ve done nothing to stop it, if anything, they’ve accelerated it. Now the Democrats want Joe Biden to step in and attempt a third Obama term. The way things are going in this country he’ll probably get elected and the media will convince everyone it’s a huge mandate. Then he can become the scapegoat that can then be blamed for the downfall of the United States as a superpower. Turn out the lights people the effing party’s almost over.

I’ve finally eliminated from my life the constant barrage of political propaganda, both Republican and Democrat, that’s being spewed from millions of televisions across the country every day. I’ve also stopped listening to the radio which has become just as bad as television, if not worse. I’m done with it all.

My late father always told me that my vote meant something. I’m glad he didn’t live long enough to see what happening to this country . . . it would have killed him. The individual vote means nothing any longer because the political parties have successfully separated the citizens into small and diverse groups based on any number of differences. They play the blacks against the whites, the whites against the blacks, the heterosexuals against the gays, the blacks and whites against the Hispanics, and even the religious against the non-religious. We now have Red states against Blue states which helps keep everyone arguing and fighting on stupid social issues that mask all of the games that the political elite love to play.  It’s become almost impossible with all of the factional infighting to elect a president with a majority of the popular vote.

color-dirty-politics-web

So I hope you’re all prepared for the browbeating and propagandizing that’s coming your way for the next year. Let me know how it’s going from time-to-time if you can because I’m tired of trying to do the right thing and having it thrown back in my face.  I’m tuning out just like the powers-that-be want me to do. They’ve won the battles and they’ve won the war.  By disenfranchising us citizens they can continue to rule as they please without interference from the “great unwashed”.

HAPPY DAYS

I seem to have centered all of my attention in recent days to male and female issues to the exclusion of all else.  It’s time to get back to what this blog is all about, Totally Useless Information.  There seems to be a never ending supply of useless facts and stupid information to keep me and this blog going for many years to come.  I’ve already turned myself into a huge steaming pile of trivia which may come in handy some day playing Trivial Pursuit but not for much else.  Maybe if I spread the information around a little it will make room in my skull for  other new and useless things I may stumble upon. These factoids were collected from hither and yon and have no reason to exist other than to humor us.  Here goes nothing.

  • More than ten people a year are killed by vending machines.
  • President George W. Bush was once a cheerleader.
  • The average person spends three years of his or her life on the toilet.
  • Pilgrims ate popcorn at the first Thanksgiving dinner.
  • Iceland consumes more Coca-Cola per capita than any other nation.
  • More Monopoly money is printed in a year, than real money printed throughout the world.
  • There is a village in Ireland called Muff, and they have their own diving club.
  • Seven percent of Americans eat at McDonalds every day.
  • The only First Lady to ever carry a loaded revolver was Eleanor Roosevelt.
  • Polar bears are left-handed.
  • McDonald’s did away with its spoon-shaped coffee stirrers because people were using them to snort cocaine.
  • Men who kiss their wives in the morning live five years longer than those who don’t.
  • Outside of the bedroom, the most common place for adults in the U.S. to have sex is in a car.
  • At any given hour there are an average of 61,000 people airborne over the United States.
  • Seven pitches is the average life span of a Major League Baseball.
  • Twenty nine percent of women spend more time shopping for shoes than they do looking for a life long mate.
  • According to statistics, Australian women are most likely to have sex on the first date.
  • It’s impossible to sneeze and keep your eyes open.
  • The giant squid has the largest eyes in the world.
  • The U.S. Government spent $277,000 on pickle research in 1993.
  • American Airlines saved $440,000 in 1987 by eliminating one olive from each first-class salad.

I hope that’ll ease the withdrawal pains caused  by your useless crap addiction.  I’m afraid I’m too far gone to be helped so I’ll just keep on collecting this stuff and shovel it off to you.  As always, your welcome.
