12/21/2021 Social Security Lies   Leave a comment

With the end of the year in sight my mind turns to things financial. Today is as good a day as any for a short history lesson on the ever so popular Social Security Program. Back in the day my parents thought that FDR could walk on water because he saved us all from imminent destruction by fending off the economic disaster that was the Great Depression. It’s true to a point but what he did has evolved over the ensuing years into a serious liability instead of an asset. His world saving programs have morphed over time and are currently responsible for some of the misery we are experiencing today. Here’s your history lesson . . .

  • Social Security Cards up until the 1980s expressly stated the number and card were not to be used for identification purposes. Since nearly everyone in the United States now has a number, it became convenient to use it anyway and the message, “NOT FOR IDENTIFICATION” was removed from the card.

President Franklin Roosevelt, a Democrat, introduced the Social Security (FICA) program. He promised:

  • Participation in the program would be completely voluntary. No longer voluntary.
  • The money the participants elected to put into the program would be deductible from their income tax for tax purposes each year. No longer tax-deductible.
  • The money the participants put into the independent “Trust Fund” rather than into the general operating fund, and therefore, would only be used to fund the Social Security Retirement Program, and no other government programs. Under President Johnson the money was moved into the General Fund and spent.
  • The annuity payments to the retirees would never be taxed as income. It is now taxable thanks to Clinton/Gore.

Since many of us have paid into FICA for years and are now receiving a Social Security check every month and then finding that we are getting taxed on the money we paid to the federal government to put away for us. I thought you might be interested in the following:

  • Q: Which political party took money from Social Security and put it into the general fund so that Congress could spend it?
  • A: It was Lyndon Johnson and the democratically controlled House and Senate
  • Q: Which political party eliminated the income tax deduction for Social Security (FICA) withholding?
  • A: The Democratic Party
  • Q: Which political party started taxing Social Security annuities?
  • A: The Democratic Party, with Al Gore casting the tie-breaking vote while he was Vice President of the United States.
  • Q: Which political party decided to start giving annuity payments to immigrants?
  • A: That’s right! Jimmy Carter and that Democratic Party

Immigrants moved into this country and at age 65, began to receive Social Security payments. The Democratic Party gave these payments to them, even though they never paid a dime into the system. Then, after violating the original contract (FICA), the Democrats turn around and tell you that the Republicans want to take your Social Security away. The worst part about it is that millions of uninformed citizens continue to believe these lies. Take the time to explain it to your family, especially your kids. They’ll ask questions you may not want to answer.

09-09-2015 Journal–More Personal Questions!   Leave a comment

th
A short time ago I posted ten questions created to assist a person in examining their own motivations and ethics when confronted with difficult problems.  I was surprised by some of  the responses and even more so by the numerous requests for additional questions.  Never let it be said I don’t respond to my readers.

Here are ten more puzzlers to get you thinking along with my own answers.

1.   Would you be willing to reduce your life expectancy by five years to become extremely attractive?

a.  No, I’d prefer to have the women I know become more attractive. Then I’d give up the five years without hesitation.

2.   Have you ever considered suicide? If yes, what is so important to you that without it life would not be worth living?

a. Yes, my eyesight.

3.   If your friends and acquaintances were willing to bluntly and honestly tell you what they really thought of you, would you want them to?

a. Sure why not.  For the most part I know my faults but maybe I’d find out about one I wasn’t aware of. Either way I don’t really care.

4.   Do you believe in capital punishment?  Would you be willing to execute a man sentenced to death by the courts if you were selected by lot to do so and he would go free if you refused? Assume you know no details of the trial.

a. I do believe in capital punishment and I would execute a criminal who had been properly convicted through the courts. The alternative of freeing him is not an option.

5   If you went to a beach and it turned out to be a nude beach, would you stay and go swimming? Would you swim nude?

a.  Yes and Yes.

6.   Do you find it so hard to say “no” that you regularly do favors you do not want to do? If so, why?

a. No I find it pretty easy to say no.

7.   Would you like to know the precise date of your death?

a. No.

8.   If by getting a 2 inch by 2 inch tattoo, you could save five lives and prevent a terrorist attack, would you do so? If you were allowed to select the location and design, where would you have it placed and what would the design be?

a. Yes I‘d get the tattoo.  A red crescent on my butt.

9.   On an airplane you are talking pleasantly to a stranger of average appearance. Unexpectedly, the person offers you $10,000.00 for one night of sex. Knowing that there is no danger and that payment is certain, would you accept the offer?

a. Of course . . . If the person were really attractive I might do it for $5,000.00. LOL

10.  Would you be willing to commit perjury for a friend? For example, might you testify that he was driving carefully when he hit a pedestrian even though he had been joking around and not paying attention.

a. No, he’s on his own.

Well there you have it.  Ten more questions to make you wonder about yourself and your significant other (assuming they are answering them with you).  Enjoy.

I have to admit to being just like every other man when when it comes to sex.  We approach sex quite differently than our female counterparts and for that I’m grateful.  It’s that difference that makes the sparks fly and the interesting things begin to happen.  Unfortunately it’s also that difference that causes most of the problems in relationships and most of the divorces as well.

We enjoy talking about sex almost as much as we enjoy doing it.  Man to man, women to woman, but almost no-one ever crosses that gender barrier.  For the men they can exaggerate, lie, and say whatever they want to their buddies who have no way of verifying any of it.  Between women it appears to be somewhat different with more feelings, emotions, and over-thinking that most men aren’t prepared to deal with.  I personally think that women BS each other just as much as the men but tend to believe each other more.  Men know they’re being lied too and expect that.  It’s a basic part of male bonding.  Women seem to trust each other completely when it comes to comparing men. Why?  I have no clue.  If you want that answer ask a women.

I love hearing people talk about sex and that includes celebrities and other members of the elite class who think they’re so much smarted than the rest of us. I specifically searched for quotations on sex that were humorous and ridiculous. If I suddenly have someone telling me the truth about sex I wouldn’t know the difference anyway.  Here they are, have a laugh or two.

  • "My girlfriend always laughs during sex –no matter what she’s reading."
    Steve Jobs (Founder, Apple Computers)
  • "I believe that sex is one of the most beautiful, natural, wholesome things that money can buy."
    Tom Clancy
  • "You know "that look" women get when they want sex? Me neither."
    Steve Martin
  • "Having sex is like playing bridge. If you don’t have a good partner, you’d better have a good hand."
    Woody Allen
  • "Bisexuality immediately doubles your chances for a date on Saturday night."
    Rodney Dangerfield
  • "Sex at age 90 is like trying to shoot pool with a rope."
    George Burns
  • "There’s very little advice in men’s magazines, because men think, I know what I’m doing. Just show me somebody naked."
    Jerry Seinfeld
  • "Ah, yes, divorce, from the Latin word meaning to rip out a man’s genitals through his wallet."
    Robin Williams
  • "Women need a reason to have sex. Men just need a place."
    Billy Crystal
  • "According to a new survey, women say they feel more comfortable undressing in front of men than they do undressing in front of other women. They say that women are too judgmental, where, of course, men are just grateful."
    Robert De Niro
  • "An intellectual is a person who has discovered something more interesting than sex."
    Aldous Huxley
  • "When a man goes on a date, he wonders if he is going to get lucky. A woman already knows."
    Frederike Ryder

Now you know everything you need to know about sex straight from the mouths of these Hollywood experts.  I’m glad they weren’t around during my formative years or I would have been more confused about sex than I actually was.  As you can also see there are no quotations from women listed here. Sorry ladies but I couldn’t find any that added much to the conversation.  If you find any please forward them along, I’m really and truthfully interested.

I’ve really been trying to keep the political ranting to a minimum since starting this new blog but January seems like a good month to relax and begin asking more uncomfortable questions that the Government would prefer not to answer.  I spent a year and a half attempting to spread the word to anyone who would listen about how dangerous the government has become and about Obama and the liberals in particular.  After seeing the results of the last election I realized I was trying to inform people of things they would rather ignore or deny.

I  think our country is spiraling downward and will come to an ignominious end at some point in the future.  The comparisons to the Roman Empire are many and scary as hell.  I won’t get into the dirty little details because this blog posting will then be a little  too long for most people who these days require only “sound bites”.  I’ll no longer waste my time in trying enlightening anyone but I will continue to ask the questions I think need to be answered.

Being as old as I am, I figure I won’t alive long enough to see the anarchy boiling beneath the surface in this country explode . I know it’s there and God help the people who refuse to see it or choose to ignore it.  I’m going to ask you a few questions now and I don’t really expect any answers.  Just read them and think about them if your one of the few people left who still attempts to do that.

Why do you think smoking Pot is legal and widely accepted but smoking tobacco is treated like a criminal offense?

Why is it that you can get arrested for expired tags on your car but not for being in the country illegally?

Why can a seven year old boy can be thrown out of school for calling his teacher "cute" but hosting sexual exploration classes in grade schools is perfectly acceptable?

Why are children forcibly removed from parents who appropriately discipline them while children of "underprivileged" drug addicts are left to rot in filthy infested cesspools?

Why are hard working and successful citizens rewarded with higher taxes and Government intrusion, while improper and lazy behavior is rewarded with EBT cards (Food Stamps), WIC checks, Medicaid, subsidized housing, and free cell phones?

Those were five questions no Liberals, Democrats, or Obama’s want to answer. Even sadder there are no Conservatives, no Republicans, and no Independents that will answer them either.  Here’s five more conundrums for you think and worry about.

Why is the government’s plan for getting people back to work to provide 99 weeks of unemployment checks (to not work)?

Why is being self-sufficient considered a threat to the government?

Why do our politicians think that stripping away the amendments to the Constitution is really protecting the rights of the people?

Why is murder of any sort prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law but hundreds of thousands of government sponsored abortions are overlooked?

Why is using the "N" word (by any non-black citizen) considered "hate speech" but writing and singing songs about raping women and killing cops is considered an "art form"?

Now I’ve given you ten scenarios that are cause for any thinking individual to question this government and the politician hypocrites who are running it. Are you asking these questions of your local politicians?  I’d better hurry and finish my list before I become violently ill and have to stop.

Why do the rights of the Government come before the rights of the Individual?

Why is it possible for an 80 year old woman to be stripped searched by the TSA but a Muslim woman in a burka is only subject to having her neck and head searched?

Why is being stripped of your ability to defend yourself making you "safer"?

Why is a parent’s signature required to go on a school field trip but not to get an abortion?

Why are working class American’s  required to pay for their own health care (and the Health care of everyone else) while unmarried women are free to have child after child on the "State’s" dime while never being held accountable for their own bad choices?

I’ve ranted as much as I can on these subjects for years and to no avail. When the “inmates are running the asylum’” how much “Hope for Change” can we expect?

Thanks Mike.
